How it works

Predict the World Cup, win the pool.

Everyone who backs an outcome puts into a shared pool. When the result is in, the winners split it between them.

FWC26 is a parimutuel prediction market for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Pick the winner of every match (and other outcomes), back your call with FWC26 tokens on BNB Chain, and split the pool with everyone else who got it right. There are no house odds — the price is set by how the crowd is positioned.

Frequently asked questions

What is FWC26?

FWC26 is a parimutuel prediction market for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Pick the winner of every match (and other outcomes), back your call with FWC26 tokens on BNB Chain, and split the pool with everyone else who got it right.

What's parimutuel?

Everyone who backs an outcome puts into a shared pool. When the result is in, the pool is split between everyone who backed the winning side. There are no house odds — the price is set by how the crowd is positioned, not by the platform.

How much does it cost?

Predicting itself doesn't cost anything beyond your stake plus the platform fees: 2% taken at entry and 5% on winnings. Fees are read live from the on-chain config.

When do predictions lock?

At the close time (usually kickoff). Once that passes, no new predictions are accepted on that market. You then wait for the operator to post the result.

Can I change or cancel a prediction?

No. Once your prediction is locked in, the only way out is a refund — and that only happens if the operator refunds the whole market (for example if a match is cancelled or void).

When can a market be refunded?

Only the operator can refund, and only while the market is Open or in the Awaiting result state (within the dispute window). After the dispute window closes, winners are entitled to their pool and the operator cannot rug them — the refund is permanently locked out.

How are winnings calculated?

Your share of the winning pool is proportional to what you put in. If you backed the winning outcome with 10% of all the money on it, you get roughly 10% of the pool, minus the 5% distribution fee.

What do the market states mean?

Scheduled — created but betting hasn't opened yet. Open — accepting predictions. Picks locked — kickoff happened, no new predictions. Awaiting result — the operator posted a result; small dispute window before claims unlock. Settled — winners can claim. Refunded — the market was cancelled; everyone can claim back what they put in.

Is there a deadline to claim?

Yes — winnings need to be claimed within the claim-expiry window (default 30 days after the dispute window closes). After that the leftover residue can be swept to the treasury. The countdown is shown on every Settled market.

What chain does this run on?

BNB Smart Chain. Currently deployed on BSC testnet (chain id 97) for the run-up to the tournament; the FWC26 token on BSC mainnet (0x939B41D08197E2848A0603EF4E17256Ac197b96B) drives the USD overlay shown next to every amount.
